Funny, they tell you to go to http://www.herefordlighthouse.org for a Special Notice and you get PAGE NOT FOUND. I wonder if they are trying to tell us something...

worked just fine for me - may have been a temporary server issue that prevented you from seeing the site, Joe.

this site didn't work for me either on a laptop. I find that some sites don't open on specific computers but open on others. I think it has something to do with protection schemes built into the computer

Me thinks it may be an issue with the web site. I just tried it again and got a "not available" too.

I tried to 'ping' and 'tracert' it, and the name isn't even resolving, almost as if it's been removed from the DNS servers. Usually, even if a site is just down, the name will still resolve, but just come back unreachable.

I had no problem with opening the site. It came right up.

Working just fine on my Dell laptop. Looks like it was a temporary problem with their server. It is ashame as it is such a beautiful old lighthouse. Thanks again John for posting those sites.
