That makes things a lot easier, Lorie! Thanks.

The Pixie and I climbed Sapelo GA as far as folks are allowed to.

Dave...can't I go in to my post and edit the list for adding more lights to each state? I tried to add Sapelo and it posted only administrators or moderators were allowed to edit posts.

That's because it's not your post, it's mine. I quoted your post. . . Dave

Lorie-

Being CD of this forum, I can also edit posts. I edited Dave's post to add the new lights, along with a timestamp.

To keep this thread from having 5 long lists, I think the best way to go about editing the list is for the person who started the part to paste the latest edition of the list into the beginning of the new part, update it if neccessary, and make that the first post of the new thread. Then, every 10 lights or so, either me or one of the Saints should update that list. Easy to find, easy to update, easy to keep current. Also, if you update the list, make sure to post saying that you did, so that people know where the lights not on the list begin.

Sure. More than happily!

Let's see...I havn't subitted anything since the game began...how bout..

Ned's Point, MA? Went to the open house. Very cool granite stairs! Not that many lights have them, and they make for a unique climbing experience, e.g. no look at the little specks of people through the holes! eek

Re: Lighthouses Climbed, Part 3 - 01/25/05 05:54 PM

Hudson-Athens, NY.

This lighthouse is open several times during the season for tours. I was last there with Jakers in October, 03. We arrived early at the launch site and were the first two taken out to the lighthouse as it was opened up. We were then left there on our own until the first group of "official" visitors were brought out. Neat to have our own lighthouse for 20 minutes or so! smile

Re: Lighthouses Climbed, Part 3 - 01/25/05 10:15 PM

Stratford Point, CT back in 1999

I happened to luck into this...back in 1999, I was driving around/killing time with my wife. She knew I "thing" for lighthouses so she suggested that we drive down to the lighthouse. We drive down, parked, and started to walk around. The couple that lived there at the time were out doing yardwork, etc. when the man saw us and walked over to say hello. He then asked if "we wanted to go up". Needless to say, we jumped at the chance.

I've updated the list again...refer to that and any posts after this before posting your light. smile

Re: Lighthouses Climbed, Part 3 - 01/25/05 11:54 PM

Tell me about it, Dave. And, for the record, there have been alot of those "now you owe me big time" situations relating to my pursuit of lighthouses.

I only wish that I had my camera that day...
