House guest next week

House guest next week - 05/13/05 05:01 AM

Just to let folks know that I had dinner tonight with Stephen, aka Jakers and his parents, Paul and Cheryl. Today was moving out of the dorm day and it seems a 2nd vehicle was needed to haul the Kid's stuff home.

However the Kid's not heading home just yet. He's staying on to the end of the month as he's signed on to help out with a national conference that's to be held at S.U. later this month. It's a conference on college housing and it seems that Jakers somehow wound up homeless for the next week! So he'll be staying at Chez Mombo. smile

And let's see some photos of Jaker! Bet he's maturing into a fine young man. (Not that he wasn't before.)

Now you know Stephen is only 20 = underage. Do you really think I'm going to give him any of my beer? When I learned he was staying I immediately sent I.O. out to the store for a big jug of lemonade (not the hard stuff)!

John, Stephen looks just the same as he did in the photos I posted last year. I haven't used the camera in so long that the battery's most likely run down.

I'll be sure to give him greetings from all of you when he returns. This "job" he's taken is volunteer, which seems to mean that he's spending most of his time this week messing around with friends, while most of the work has been delegated to others. wink

Hi everyone! I can't believe I'm still registered.

Sue it was great seeing you and Ed (I.O.) again. Thanks for letting Stephen stay with you while he was homeless for a week. It sure saved him a lot of driving and us a lot of worrying waiting for his "I made it" call. I hope you got him to mow your lawn or something before he left. You sure have done a lot for him in the two years he's been there. Though I'm not so sure about the "setting off the sirens at the Canadian Border" thingy. LOL
Just wanted to thank you again.

Hi Cheryl... We've mised you -- and haven't heard much from Jakers either, but he's studying hard.

What's he doing this summer?
