LETW - HL's "Turn of the Century" Piece - 10/11/99 04:17 PM

The Statue of Liberty's flag name is the actual name of the real statue: "Liberty Enlightening the World." It only stands about 8" high but gives the impression of a much larger statue. Retail price will be $125, so save those pennies!

The HL statue shows the entire island as well as the Lady, unlike most cheapo statues of the statue which only show the statue (or part of it).

Interesting sidelight: there is an intentional inaccuracy designed into the sculpting. It does not take away from our enjoyment of it, but any knockoff manufacturer will get nailed if they copy it too closely.

Hi Jim,
The edition of each piece, SOL and AM...Inquiring minds want to know and I was too caught up in the moment to remember what Bill said.

Just curious - what is the color? Is it copper or green?

Why the impressive price tag? I haven't seen a picture of the piece, but is there something unusual or complex in its design or will there be a particularly small issue quantity?
