more inormation on the iceberg - 07/19/01 05:02 PM

This iceberg from a previous post came from a rig managerfor Global Marine Drilling in St John newfoundland. The water was calm and clear and the sun almost directly overhead.A diver was able to get into the water and click this picture. The estimated weight of the iceberg is 300,000,000 tons. That is the rest of the story. Here is the picture again.

WHOOAAAAH!
I looked at the first link, but the picture was so dark that I wasn't at all sure that I understood what I saw - if you get my drift. This later presentation is spectacular! What a scary sight! Thanks for making it available to us.

Sorry to burst any bubbles, but, although it is a cool picture, it's not real....

Snopes.com is a great resource on urban legands. It debunks almost every story that you may find on the internet. Sorry.
