Our son Chris attended the New Way Learning Academy Prom Saturday night. The school has 37 high school students and a graduating class of 7. (Chris is a sophmore.)

Good looking kid there John. He must take after mom. All kidding aside, I hope Chris had a great and memorable evening! John, you're not proud in the least, are ya?

Nice picture. He looks pretty sharp! And I thought my graduating class was small, (20).

My daughter Natalie is a junior and happened to have her prom last night as well. She has 2400 in 3 grades at Brighton High School.

One more photo of Natalie alone:

So nice to see your children so beautiful for their special high school prom. A night they will always remember.

How many HL collectors attended their proms? What made the evening memorable to you?

Thanks for all the nice things said about Natalie. The pictures don't transfer as clear as the originals.

Speaking for Natalie (and I'm sure Chris), getting ready for prom is an all day adventure. At Natalie's school, they have a daytime activity and then it's off to get hair, nails and makeup done. She was picked up by her date at 5:00pm where they go to dinner and then to the dance at the capitol rotunda. If that's not enough, they had nighttime activities at a condo in Deer Valley for hot-tubbing and videos.

Twenty-five years ago when I went to prom, I thought it was a good date to go to dinner and the dance. Things sure have changed!

P.S. Chris sure looks sharp in his tux.

Great pictures of two very special young people. I am sure they had a wonderful time at their respective proms.

It must be spring everywhere if it is prom season.

Ouch Dave

I sure don't want to sit near you at the next event (probaly Rosemont) Wouldn't want to be caught in the collateral damage when Sue gets even.

The young folks surely do get all decked out for proms these days. I know that Chris and Natalie both enjoyed the experience and will be talking about it for a long time.

As far as what cave....all I have to say is that I am sure my prom pictures are right there with Sue's. Now would it not be fun to post some of them.....that's a thought anyway. The best part of our prom way back in the late 50's is that we went to the beach, Nags Head, NC after the prom...of course, there were lots of chaperones....I think that fact has changed also..

Now I know where Natalie gets her looks from, so I guess Chris gets his from his Mom too!
Two beautiful kids, enjoy and be proud, parents!
Now can Jaker's and Heather's prom pictures be far behind?

I remember my first prom. I wore a bright red/white crushed velvet jacket, ruffled pink shirt, blood-red bow tie the size of an airplane propeller, dark burgundy pants and white patent leather shoes!!!!!! Just try and visualize that (I do have pics but you'll never see them)!!!! Give me a break, it was the '70's.

Now you know why they stuck me in the cemetery!

The Port Huron High School Class of 1961 held their prom at the Gratiot Inn on Lake Huron (by that time, a real has-been beach resort.)

Music by the Jimmy Dorsey Orchestra. Cost us $1,000 for this has-been band.

But it was memorable. I had been 'going steady' with one girl; but our thing lasted the length of the basketball season (nothing related to basketball.) I ended up taking another girl from another high school.

Maybe he was afraid that Digger would go ahead and post a picture of himself on prom night?

Common sense got the best of me. I should have known that pic was just too much for the group to handle.

You looked just like you could be in "That 70's Show" on FOX. (And that's not bad.)
